When using the bike for on sporty excursions, the Specialized Rockhopper Elite 29 with its 100 mm on the fork is totally spot on. The geometry is moderate and makes for a balanced handling. When sitting in the saddle, the posture is neither overly sporty, nor uber-comfortable. This should make the Rockhopper Elite 29 suite the taste of most bikers. In the price range of under 1000 Euro, there are bikes that climb better than the Specialized Racebike. With 25 years the warranty is another neat feature.
