Bike Character

The Rose Hardtail can also be described as a gateway drug, because the aluminum hardtail has already addicted thousands of people to cycling. The geometry is moderate and makes for a balanced handling. The seating position of the on fortified paths moves in a moderate range between sporty and comfortable. When looking at the suspension, Rose tries to save money. Other manufacturers for 999 Euro use better suspension components. Despite this criticism, the coherent overall concept makes the Rose to on streets and simple forest roads a buying recommendation in the price range 999 Euro range. The guarantee of 6 years proves that Rose puts a lot of trust in its products.

Size Chart

Almost every manufacturer has a size calculator for its bikes online. Nevertheless, we take a look at the geometry of each bike, completely detached from the recommendation of the manufacturer. Why: We want to give you an absolutely objective assessment of the frame size that suits you. We calculate with statistical averages for the ratio of leg length and height. If you want to know exactly what size you need, you should read this blog post from us. Here we explain how you can measure your leg length in less than 5 minutes and then determine your perfect frame size.

How Do We Review Bikes

With all the info we give you here about the bikes, you’re probably wondering: are these guys credible at all? That’s why we’ve prepared an article for you that explains exactly who is behind this website and what our mission is.

At BIKE-TEST.COM we rate bikes as objectively as possible. Our innovative rating system has three groundbreaking advantages over all other product tests you can find on the internet:

  1. We catalog and rate bikes on over 200 criteria. No one else takes such a comprehensive look at a bike. Our revolutionary data processing allows us to break down the complete experience of over 100,000 kilometers in the saddle to each individual bike.
  2. We treat every bike exactly the same, no matter which manufacturer it comes from. You won’t get a more objective statement about mountain bikes anywhere.
  3. It’s free!

Here we explain in detail how we rate bikes. The short version: We evaluate each individual part in its quality and compare whether the individual part fits the respective area of use of the bike. In addition, we also check the geometry of a bike and draw conclusions about how this bike rides. If a bike has earned a BIKE-TEST.COM TIP, it has not only a particularly good equipment, but usually also an excellent geometry.

About The Brand

“In the mountain bike sector, Rose is known above all for its first-class price-performance ratio. With large flagship stores in many major cities, Rose has evolved in recent years from a pure mail-order company to a premium bike retailer on all channels.”

This is what BRAND is famous for:

Erwin Rose pioneered the bicycle market back in the 1990s by setting up the mail-order business. In the meantime, Rose Versand is no longer a pure dealer, but even a producer of high-quality bikes. The primary sales model via the Rose website is supplemented by the North Rhine-Westphalians with large flagship stores in the cities of Munich, Berlin, Cologne, Bocholt and Posthausen (near Hamburg). There, Rose bikes can not only be tested, but also ordered, picked up and serviced. A lush range of accessories is also available there. In addition, you can examine the Rose bikes in many Globetrotter stores. From the history (Erwin Rose used to be a racing cyclist himself) Rose is mainly known for its first-class racing and gravel bikes. But the mountain bike portfolio of the Bocholt-based company is also impressive. Typical for direct sales, Rose equips its bikes extremely well even at low prices. The Count Solo hardtails with aluminum frames are already available from 769 euros and thus enable riding fun in light terrain at a low price. From 1,600 euros there are even the Psycho Path Hardtails with carbon frame. Without the claim to technological leadership in the market, the Fully models such as the Thrill Hill, the Root Miller or the Ground Control convince with a solid construction and good prices. Rose produces all frames in Asia and assembles the complete wheels in Bocholt. All mountain bikes from Rose come with a six-year warranty.
