With 120 mm of travel at the front, the 2023 relaunched RAVEN 8.7 clearly departs from its predecessor. It wants to be more of an all-rounder than a racer. The integrated storage compartment in the downtube offers space for a spare tube and a minitool. With its geometry, the Downcountry-Bike of Focus is right in the middle between playfulness and high speed stability. The balanced seating position is likely to suite the taste of the majority of bikers. Looking at only the shifting system of the rest of the bikes you have to say that other manufacturers in the price range under 3000 Eurouse higher quality components. Heavy riders over 85 kilos aren´t likely to encounter too many problems with the high weight of 13,4 kg. For lighter riders, this could be a disturbance. A good argument for the Focus Hardtail: Such a successful geometry is usually only available if you have deep pockets. We like: 6 years warranty on the frame!
