Expirience with the Merida ONE-FORTY 700

Ludwig Döhl The model name suggests 140 millimeters of suspension travel at the fork. But this is a deceptive maneuver by the Taiwanese brand Merida. Because the ONE-FORTY 700 is equipped with lush 150 mm travel at the fork and thus also equipped for excursions into alpine terrain. No matter how rowdy the ride gets: when shredding the Merida ONE-FORTY 700, the 65 degree head tube angle and the long wheelbase ensure a pretty chilled handling. Due to the interplay of a relatively long top tube and a low stack, the riding position is sporty. Especially for light riders under 70 kilos, the weight of this bike is enormous. With 16,28 kg, the ratio of rider to bike weight could be lighter. With 25 years the warranty is another neat feature. Caution when selecting the size: the Aluminium frame sizing runs big.
