Purely visually, the aluminum version of the Scales is hardly distinguishable from the much more expensive carbon models. And also the features, such as the cables routed through the headset, remain in the SCALE 940. Here, the Swiss engineers have really delivered a solid job. With its geometry, the Scott is right in the middle between playfulness and high speed stability. The sporty riding position allows for very effective pedaling. Heavy riders over 85 kilos aren´t likely to encounter too many problems with the high weight of 12,7 kg. For lighter riders, this could be a disturbance. For 1799 Euro , competitors usually deliver geometries with less fun potential. With 5 years the warranty is another neat feature. Caution when selecting the size: the Carbon frame sizing runs big.
